A comprehensive introduction to the characteristics and application fields of nickel foil!
Nickel foil is a thin sheet metal material made of high-purity nickel, with a thickness typically between 0.01 millimeters and 0.02 millimeters. It has excellent mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, and electrical and thermal conductivity.
1、 Main characteristics
1. Physical performance
The density is 8.9 g/cm ³, the melting point is about 1455 ° C, and the thermal conductivity is as high as 90.9 W/(m · K).
Tensile strength of 380 MPa, elongation of 40%, can be processed into soft, semi hard or hard states.
2. Chemical properties
Resistant to reducing media, but prone to corrosion in strong oxidizing acids.
Excellent performance on chlorine and fluorine gases at high temperatures, but avoid environments containing sulfur or hydrofluoric acid.
3. Brand classification
Common grades include Ni200, Ni201, and N6, with slight differences in impurity content and processing performance among different grades.
2、 Application Fields
1. New energy battery
As a current collector for lithium battery electrodes, ultra-thin nickel foil with a thickness of 5-50 μ m is suitable for high-energy density batteries, such as power batteries and solid-state battery transition technologies.
2. Electronics and Chemical Industry
Used for conducting layers in electronic devices, lining chemical containers, and corrosion-resistant components in high-purity semiconductor environments.
3. Aerospace: With high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance, it is applied to heat exchangers and precision components of spacecraft.
